Continuing from the Title Page Design, I was also asked to design name cards in preparation for a meeting. Measurements for the name cards were given to me via the Title Page Design’s task description and I was instructed to freely create whatever I felt fit the design. I decided to maintain the brand and keep with the brand’s style guide in terms of font, colours, and graphical assets. Upon completing each name card and exporting it to PDF, I then compiled it all onto one document to a print file. I carefully constructed a template with appropriate margins, bleed, and slug. All these settings are set out so that the content has something to align to (margins and bleed), while the slug is just an indicator for the fold lines. As for the print file document, I just aligned each name card so that when I used the guillotine the crop and bleed lines are parallel to make for a straight cut.
